Jamea Tul Hidaya is a high tech madrasa as per Wikipedia editors having some connections to the particular Maslak in the subcontinent classifying Islamic educational institutions in three categories: (1) Those Islamic institutions affiliated or following the curriculum of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema, (2) Madaris affiliated or following the syllabus of Darul Uloom at Deoband and (3) those Islamic seminaries that have incorporated modern disciplines in one way or another and Jamea Tul Hidaya falls into the third category.
However, there may be other classification of Islamic institutions. There are plenty of Madaris, though following the same curriculum of Dars-e-Nizami, follow the Maslak-e-Ala Hazrat, who train their students in a prescribed frame of mind. Ahl-e-Hadith / Ghair Muqallid / Salafi / Wahabi follow a distinguished curriculum different in some basic core ideas of Muqallideen.
As per the Indian Government, there are other Muslim minorities like Shia and its different outfits, who have their own educational institutions training their young minds in line with their tenants and creeds.
The website of the seminary Jamea Tul Hidaya describes about itself: “Jamea Tul Hidaya is a revolutionary step in the field of Islamic education taken by a well known Islamic scholar as well as a great priest Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Abdur Rahim Mujaddidi.
This great idea was introduced by Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Hidayat Ali Mujaddidi (a great priest of his era) 75 years ago, and Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Abdur Rahim Mujaddidi gave it a practical shape, he planted that sapling and then fed it with his sweat, tears and blood. It was not established all of sudden, but launched after long discussions with great Islamic scholars like Hazrat Maulana Syed Abulhasan Ali Nadvi, and other erudite, distinguished personalities, this covered a period of about 25 years.
200 Million Muslims, the second largest population after Indonesia, are living in India with its glowing past. However, they are struggling hard for getting their dues at par status for the last few decades. There are many factors responsible for this slumber, inactivity and indecision prevalent among the Muslims. There Economic, Educational and Political condition is not worth mentioning. They are living under the constant fear of attacks on their faith. This fear has reached upto an optimum mark that has over-shadowed all the other burning issues of our time.” (https://jameatulhidaya.org/about/)
