Tarif Saleem Nadvi, Alhamdu Lillah, is an active young man in the field of education, preaching, community development and intellectual pursuits in the region historically known as Mewat, adjacent to the National Capital Delhi and itself a part of Delhi NCR, known for the Islamic Movement, bravery, geographical importance and scenic beauty, in addition to its location close to the millennium city Gurugram earlier known as Gurgaon.
I have not met with Tarif Saleem Nadvi, but his title Nadvi and informative posts on social media networks as to almost all religious and social activities being carried out by the Islamic Scholars, Social Activists and others working in various fields particularly in the machinery preaching works, which has become an identification of the people living in the region of Mewat has motivated me to write some words on him.
Clad in the prescribed Islamic attires Kurta Pajama and Amama on the head with pleasing countenance, Mufti Tarif Saleem Nadvi appears to be an embodiment of the Nadvi values, ideology and practices, that is emphasizing the universal aspects of Islam casting aside the narrow interpretations of the sacred Islamic texts in the subcontinent manifest in sectarian bigotry.
According to information Maulana Tarif Saleem has furnished on facebook, he is a writer, blogger, reader, teacher and public figure working as Arabic Teacher online and offline residing in the city of Nuh, who is an alumnus of the prestigious Islamic Seminary, Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema at Lucknow. This world famous seat of Islamic learning is my Alma mater also.
Mufti Sb (Tarif Saleem Nadvi) has done an appreciable task establishing an Alumni Association of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema namely Abna-e-Nadwa Mewat for those Islamic Scholars who hail from the region of Mewat and have passed out from Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema to organize their efforts for the sake of the community services and propagating the teaching of Islam and discharging their obligations as an Islamic Leader for the Muslims living in Mewat. I pray the Almighty Allah may bestow his rewards on them in this world and the world hereinafter. (Ameen)
