TAHFIZUL QURAN, TEHAI MADARIPUR

Tahfizul Quran

One of the Islamic seminaries I studied in is Madrasa Tahfizul Quran, Tehai Madaripur, post Rampur Hari, Block Minapur Muzaffarpur, Bihar. This Islamic educational institution is spreading the light of the revealed Book of Islam and its sciences for more than the last 04 decades. As its name suggests, basically this seat of learning was established in the ninth decade of the 20th century for memorizing the Holy Book of Islam, Quran. When I came here to memorize the Quran in the year 1988 after memorizing 07 parts of the Quran in Jamia Qadria Maqsoodpur, Aurai Muzaffarpur, Bihar, it was in a large hutment and two teachers were employed. One for the department of Tahfizul Quran and another to teach the students in elementary subjects of Islamic Maktab – Nazira, elementary Urdu, Hindi and Diniyat. In six months, I memorized 11 parts of the Quran in Tahfizul Quran, Tehai Madaripur and moved to Darul Uloom Naimiya, Sahibganj, Chhapra (Saran) under the guidance of my maternal uncle Maulana Saghir Sb, who was recently appointed there as Khateeb wa Imam of Jama Mosque of Chhapra and the Principal of Darul Uloom Naimia, a prestigious Islamic Seminary of the area situated in the heart of the city Chhapra.

Founder of Madrasa Islamia Tahfizul Quran: Maulana Abdul Bari Siddiqui Qasmi Azhari

The founder of Madrasa Islamia Tahfizul Quran, Tehai Madaripur, Maulana Abdul Bari Qasmi Azhari (Mudda Zilluhul Aali) has been a blessing from the Almighty Allah for the village and other Muslim settlements in the region as the Islamic Institution founded by him is fulfilling Islamic educational needs of thousands of students, who come here and get lodged in its hostel availing the kitchen facilities while memorizing the Quran and learning Islamic Sciences. Maulana Abdul Bari was graduated from the Azhar of the Subcontinent, Darul Uloom Deoband. He has also passed out from Jamiatul Azhar, Egypt so he is alone person from the village, who graduated and post-graduated from both the Azhar Universities, i.e. Darul Uloom Deoband and Jamiatul Azhar, Egypt.

Hazrat Maulana Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Qasmi, Azhari after completing education settled in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and did not forget his village men. He opened the gate of the Gulf countries for those persons, who wanted to explore the employment opportunities in the booming economy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to oil exploitation and other related commercial activities so a lot of people on his guidance went abroad and brought prosperity to home. One of his shining achievements is the foundation of the Madrasa Islamia Tahfizul Quran, which has now the sprawling building of the class rooms, study hall, hostels, residence of the teaching staff, kitchen facilities, library and others.  In the campus of Tahfizul Quran spread in many bigha of land has a beautiful mosque also, in which the persons from the village in addition to the students, teaching and non teaching staff of the institution perform daily and Friday Prayers. Hazrat Maulana is also very generous in charity works for the poor and needy persons.

Maulana Abdul Bari was particularly concerned with the educational and economic empowerment of Muslim Women so he established also technical center and Madrasatul Banat attached to the Madrasa Islamia Tahfizul Quran for the Muslim Women because our Prophet (PBUH) has instructed the Muslim to educate the women as they are the first school for the children. Maulana Sahab would be indeed better rewarded by the Almighty Allah Subhanahu wa Taala for these unforgettable deeds!

Maulana Shakil Ahmad Sb and Maulana Abdul Wahid Qasmi have been integral part of the existence of Madrasa Islamia Tahfizul Quran, Tehai Madaripur. They have been witness to its ups and downs proving themselves to be a towering figure for the continuance of the Institution. Recently, this Islamic Seminary has slowed down in its journey on the path of progress and advancement, which shall get momentum removing obstacles whatsoever, In Sha Allah!
