Dr Intekhab Alam coming from Bajpatti, true to his name, is a politician from Bajpatti in Sitamarhi District of Bihar. Intekhab is a popular name of Muslims in the subcontinent, belonging to the Arabic language meaning to elect and election. Geographically, Bajpatti is situated approximately 16 km east of the district headquarters, Sitamarhi town, and about 140 km north of the state capital, Patna. The CD block covers an area of about 152–174.67 km² and consists of 58 villages and 19 panchayats. Bajpatti is bordered by:
