The title of my post ‘Daily Routine of a Madrasa Student’ is based on the very first chapter of an Arabic Reader written by Ali Miyan Sb Marhoom, perhaps the greatest personality among Nadvis, i.e. who have passed out of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema at Lucknow. A number of textbooks written by the Hasani Family constitute the curriculum of Nadwa and Nadwa branches including other Islamic seminaries of the subcontinent and even in some institutions outside India.
My Daily Routine
I go to bed early at night and wake up early in the morning. I wake up remembering God and His name. I prepare for prayer. Then I go with my father to the mosque. The mosque is close to my house. I perform ablution and pray with the congregation. Then I return home and recite some verses from the Holy Quran. After that, I go out to the garden and run. Then I return home, drink milk, and get ready to go to school. I have breakfast if it’s summer, and lunch if it’s winter. I arrive at school on time.
I stay at school for six hours, listening to the lessons attentively and eagerly. I sit politely and calmly until the time is up and the bell rings. Then I leave school and return home. I don’t read after the afternoon prayer until sunset. On some days, I stay at home, and on other days, I go to the market and buy household necessities. On some days, I go out with my father or brother to visit some relatives, or I play with my siblings and friends.
I have dinner with my parents and siblings, and I memorize my lessons, and I review for the next day and prepare for class. I write down what the teacher instructs, and I pray the evening prayer and read a little, then I go to sleep in the name of God and with His remembrance. That’s my daily routine, and I never deviate from it. I wake up early on the weekend too, pray with the congregation, and recite the Quran. I spend the day reading a book, talking with my parents and siblings, visiting a relative, or visiting someone who is sick. Sometimes I stay home, and sometimes I go out. (daily routine)
It is a pressing need at this juncture of history that significance human translation has been reduced by the revolution of AI, NLP, Gen AI, ML, Data Science and others so Nadvis Hazrat must give attention to this field of science and technology, otherwise they would be rendered more irrelevant because language and literature has been a special feature of Nadvi fraternity.
