Qrat a Computer Group is an institute of computer science and engineering at Vivek Khand, Gomtinagar Lucknow, a Shahr-e-Tahzib where Sham-e-Awadh has been a pleasant scene to be gazed upon.
I started my teaching career from a distinguished Islamic seminary, Darul Uloom Warsia, founded by late Hazrat Qari Abul Hasan Qadri Sb at Vishal Khand, Gomtinagar Lucknow on a vast piece of land endowed by the people of Ujriyaon village nearby, in the first year of the passing century, Jan, 2001. In the same year, the then State Government of Uttar Pradesh offered one of the latest and trending courses, ‘E-commerce’ for the minority community of a state whose western region has substantial population adhering to Islam. This course had to be taught to the minority students through Qrat a Computer Group headed by a Shia Muslim educator posted in Shia PG College of Lucknow. So far I remember, his name was Qamar or anything like this, perhaps.
The students of this course were mostly the teachers of Darul Uloom Warsia such as Maulana Sajid Ali Misbahi, now a teacher of Darul Uloom Ashrafia Mubarakpur and Maulana Khatib Misbahi including Huffaz-e-Kiram and Qurra-e-Izam from the Hifz Department of this Madrasa aided by the State Government.
Initially, all the students of E-commerce course at Qrat a Computer Group attended the theory and practical classes with curiosity but with the passage of time only I and a couple of other students continued the study and all Maulanas, Huffaz-e-Kiram and Qurra-e-Izam left and went back to their respective world of sermons, reciting verses of the Quran and presenting Naat Sharif and delivering religious speeches in the mosques and Mahfil-e-Milad and son on.
In the second half of the year 2001, Relational Database Management System was introduced and some active students including me were included in one RDBMS project to familiarize them with Oracle Database Management Software and Solutions at Qrat a Computer Group. I found the concept of Database very relevant and it shaped my future ambitions somehow, due to which I launched the ambitious project of www.muslimsofindia.com and www.muslimsofindia.org that I manage to satisfy my urge of writing because writing is fighting.
The founder of Qrat a Computer Group was benevolent and ambitious educator who sent me to a newly established software venture headquartered at Hazratganj, heart of the city of Lucknow, not far from Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama Lucknow from where I became Aalim-e-Deen and the University of Lucknow that broadened my mental horizon in English language and literature and Economics honoring me the degree of graduation in English language and literate in 2004 while I was a teacher of Arabic and English language and literature at Darul Uloom Islamia at Muzaffarpur Azamgarh. Therefore, Qrat a Computer Group is one of many institutions that have been a part of my learning, teaching and business career and ventures. (Hamid Siddiqui)
