ZARB-E-KALEEM

Zarb-e-Kaleemt

Zarb-e-Kaleem translated into English “The Rod of Mosses” is a collection of poetry by Hakimul Ummah, crusader for the Indians Muslims and the Muslims around the world and the creator of Pakistan. This book is subtitled – Declaration of War against the Present Times – This is a philosophical musing on the current issues of his time, which is still relevant in full as he has already stated in one of his poems in this collection namely Falasteeni Arab Se that the western powers are slave to Jews. This had been published in 1936 only two years before his passing away.

The free-spirited nature cannot remain at the same place
Create a breeze-like momentum for exploration.
Let a thousand springs burst forth from the stones in your path,
Dive into selfhood and create the spirits of the Mosses.

We can see how revolutionary theses verses that adore the subtitle of Zarb-e-Kaleem are. This is call for action and exploring the vast universe as Quran motivates the man to invent, explore, ponder over the sun, moon, star, mountains, rivers and natural phenomena that are signs signifying the wonders and amazing realities of the time and space that have been created by the God for His servants.

There are about one hundred and fifty poems in Zarb-e-Kaleem. One section deals with the politics of the East and the West – socialism (Istirakiya), Voice of Karl Marx (Karl Marx Ki Aawaz), Revolution (Inqilab), Europe & Jews (Europe aur Ayahood), Slave Psychology (Nafsiyat-e-Ghulami), Today and Tomorrow (Aaj aur Kal), East (Mashriq), Politics of the West (Siyasiyat-e-Afrang), For the Slaves (Ghulamon Ke Liye), To the Egyptians (Ahle Misr Se), Falastini Arab (Palestinian Arabs) and a lot of others convincingly portray the world affairs.

In the poem of Zarb-e-Kaleem, Falasteeniu Arab Se, Allama Iqbal says that the jugular veins of the western powers are in the clutches of the Jews.
